AAI's Holiday Party
on Dec. 5th at
Chiquis Orphanage in Bogota was full
of Christmas spirit
This orphanage is
home to children who have been abandoned and
abused.....many
of the mothers are trafficked as
prostitutes and give their children to Chiquis for
care.
Although they have
many needs the orphanage is full of LOVE that warms
the heart. Special thanks to AA flight attendants in
Bogota who sponsored all 71 children with a personal
gift. Miami based AA flight attendant, Alex Restrepo
led a team who brought dozens of boxes of
decorations, clothing, supplies and toys for the
kids and filled the orphanage grocery list for the
next TWO MONTHS!

Orphan
Airlift Bravo
to Margaret Whitehead for coordinating another
Orphan Airlift of nearly 200 teenage orphans from
the Ukraine and Latvia coming to the US for summer
vacation!
The young people were escorted by dozens of AAI
volunteers in late June on several airlines and will
all be returning on August 2nd via JFK. Volunteers
are needed at New York's JFK airport to meet these
kids and help get them smoothly to connecting
flights. Email Margaret:
